Meet the Beyer Family
Kirk and Melissa live in Wellington New Zealand with their four children: Shilah, Mia-Bella, Rhēma and Elisha.
Kirk and Mel have been on staff at the Rock Church for the last 12years. They Love God and they love people! Their family have a huge heart for the Church and seeing the Kingdom of God established in and through her.
Recently, through the simple act of hearing and obeying God, they have heard the call to step into the Asia Pacific Area Director role and are excited to witness the gospel reaching every surfer and surfing community in these countries!
APAC - the Asia Pacific Area
Currently there are nine Christian Surfers affiliated Nations in the Asia Pacific Area.
Our hope is that every surfer and surfing community in all Asia Pacific Nations would have opportunities to know and follow Jesus!
APAC Area Director Role
The role of the APAC Area Director is to grow and empower current national and regional coordinators and their teams, build and develop new relationships abroad, facilitate and mobilise missions teams to serve and reach new nations, Oversee strategic planning for the area, and pastoral care oversight.
Our history with Christian Surfers
In 2007 Kirk had the opportunity to travel with a CS team from around the world to Nias, Indonesia. Kirk’s testimony was published in the Surfers Bible, and the dvd documentary they filmed was inside each copy of the bible. (photos below, he had more hair then…)
Kirk has also travelled with a CSNZ missions team to Fiji, as well as running the Titahi bay CS mission for three years.
Kirk has served on the CSNZ board for the last year.
Our next three months
We are believing that God will provide the resource for us to be able to step into this role full time by October 2022. God has already provided the finances for us to be able invest these next three months into meeting and connecting with people and raising the salary, our full hope and trust is in Him.
