Cesar Azevedo

My name is Cesar Azevedo, I live in São Paulo Capital and Guarujá on the coast of São Paulo, I am married to Ana Cristina and father of Maria Clara, who is currently studying medicine in the city of Santos, I am a lawyer and I am a volunteer at Christina Surfes, I currently hold the position of Regional Coordinator of the Brazil Region and National Director

REGIONAL COORDINATOR

As the Brazil Regional Coordinator for Christian Surfers, I oversee our mission in Brazil, including South, Southeast and Northeast regions. Our vision is that every surfer and every surfing community has the opportunity to know and follow Jesus.

My role involves connecting, supporting, coaching, and empowering current and potential leaders in Brazil to help them drive our mission forward. This includes reaching more surfers in areas where we already have a presence and initiating new missions in areas where we currently do not. I assist region, state and chapter leaders in creating effective plans and strategies to fulfill our mission, and I also provide pastoral support.

My history with Christian Surfers

I have been serving the surf community through Christian Surfers since 2003, serving as chapter leader, then as state coordinator and then as part of the executive board, as treasurer in Brazil. Later, I was appointed as National Director, later becoming Regional Coordinator due to the peculiarities of our country. I have sought to connect the surfing community to the teachings of Jesus Christ, through service, seeking to empower others to do the same.

Whats the future ?

There are many surfers who need to find light in their lives by knowing Jesus, and we, as Christian surfers, should be there to love them and point them to Christ. Our goal by 2030 is for our movement in the Americas to continue growing, expanding into more countries and beaches, and reaching surfers for Jesus, increasing from 16 nations to 25 and from 80 local missions to 216.

To achieve this vision, it is crucial to engage in pastoral and missionary trips. While technology enables us to maintain virtual contact, encouraging our leaders in person is essential. These trips allow us to connect with local people and churches, promoting a mission that effectively reaches surfers. Building these relationships face-to-face fosters a deeper sense of community and commitment, which is vital for our outreach efforts.

Would you prayerfully consider supporting us financially?

I need financial support of $3,200 to make the plan for pastoral and missionary trips in 2025 a reality. Last year, Raul Espinoza, the Director of the Americas Area, visited the Northeast region. This year, Raul and I hope to make a pastoral visit to the South region, especially to Florianópolis, where the CS Americas gathering will be held in 2026. We want to encourage our brothers and sisters to move forward with our mission.

Thank You
