Hello, my name is Lili Montoya; I am Peruvian and currently live in Lima. My role now is CS Americas Operations Manager

Operations Manager

This year (2025), Raúl Espinoza, area director, invited me to join the CS Americas Staff as Operations Manager, a role that involves managing the “behind-the-scenes” aspects to ensure all planned initiatives for the year are carried out. I am also leading the project to translate the Surfer’s Bible into Spanish and Portuguese, and I’m still in charge of the Communications team.

My history with Christian Surfers

I joined Christian Surfers during the pandemic in 2020. I started taking surf lessons, which was my childhood dream! It was love at first sight, but I felt very lonely and lost surfing on my own. One day, while surfing, I remembered hearing about a group of Christian surfers. I grew up in a Christian home and went to church since I was very young, but I never really connected or felt like I fit in “the church world.” I wrote to CS Lima on Instagram, and they immediately got in touch with me. Since then, God completely transformed my life. God used CS to rescue me, help me truly encounter Him, and never stray away again.

In 2021, I began serving as a volunteer in the Lima chapter, and in the following years, I became part of the leadership team. I also traveled to other parts of the Peruvian coast to support new chapters. In 2024, alongside my service in CS Peru, I began volunteering for CS Americas in the Communications area. 

As a psychologist by profession, I enjoy working with people of all ages and helping them with whatever they need. I possess good social and communication skills. I adapt easily to changes, as well as to different environments and cultures. Additionally, I have flexible hours for missionary trips. I am passionate about sharing what I learn with others and contributing to the mission. In my administrative tasks, I focus on results and am known for being organised and meticulous.

Whats the future ?

Christian Surfers Americas has 16 affiliate nations and 80 chapters, Glory to God! The vision for 2030 is to be in 25 countries and have 216 local missions. To make this happen, we need committed people who are involved in the mission. My great desire is for more people to have a real encounter with God and for Him to perform a miracle in their lives, just as He has done in mine. I am willing to use the talents He gave me and my time in His service to see this fulfilled.

Throughout my life, God has shown His faithfulness and has been my provider. I have been working independently for a few years, which has allowed me to serve in the mission during my free time.However, starting this year, I want to dedicate more time (20 hours a week) and to make this happen, I am seeking financial support of USD $21,000 annually to partially cover my personal expenses.
