ILT, Board and more...
Despite the fact that conference doesn’t start for another couple days, many things are already happening here in Esterillos. As previously mentioned the International Leadership Team have been meeting over the last couple days, with different people joining for particular sessions with them. On top of their continued meetings with the Board of Directors and an expanded group, meetings kicked off today for chaplaincy and for leadership training.
Most of the regional chaplains from around the world are here and, along with some of the ASP World Tour chaplains, they spent today meeting under the leadership of International Chaplaincy Coordinator Steve Bligh.
Our international champion for the CS Foundations Training course, Johnny Hillman from CSUK also led a ‘train-the-trainer’ session to train leaders who can in turn train other leaders from their nations.
The meetings continue tomorrow with an all-day CS Council meeting. The Council is made up of the ILT, the Board and the national directors from each affiliated nation, along with a key board member from each affiliated nation. This meeting only happens every two years - at each International Conference - and this year is incredibly significant as it will be this body whose vote decides our next international director.
