Monday Morning Session
If you’ve ever experienced worship at a Christian Surfers gathering of any description you’ll know it is a truly special time and this morning exceeded expectations as the many tribes and tongues came together to sing praise to our Lord!
We had four great ‘heats’, we’re calling our TED-Talk style speaking sessions, with CS founders Brett & Gill Davis opening with the history of our family on mission, before current International Director Roy Harley talked though our Christian Surfers DNA - what makes us unique as Christian Surfers.
Following this, in heat 3 Roy officially launched Groundswell Aid, making sure everyone present understood that Groundswell Aid is collectively ‘our’ mission. Groundswell Aid is Christian Surfers and Christian Surfers is Groundswell Aid!
Heat 4 was made up of a panel of CS people involved in GSA, Steve Bailey from CS Australia, Vanessa van Zyl of Aleph Surf and Andre Holl of Hope House Mauritius, led by Katie Quinn, discussing the vision of GSA from different perspectives.
We’re so excited for the future of Groundswell Aid and stoked to launch it here at our International Gathering!
