Cyclone Idai Relief

Our Groundswell Aid platform is raising money to assist the victims of Cyclone Idai. Millions of people urgently need humanitarian assistance across Mozambique in one of the worst natural disasters to ever hit the Southern Hemisphere. The impact will be felt for years to come as many families in this area, already amongst the poorest in the world, have lost their source of food and income and their water has been compromised.

A member of our team, Rehgert van Zyl of Aleph Surf, is now on the ground in Mozambique, joining Waves For Water and Cross Connection Outreach to install water filters and deliver food packages to villages on the coast. Our goal is to provide at least 100 water filters and 100 food packages - a total of $11,000 - and in under a week we have raised over $7,000 of that, which is amazing! The need is far, far greater than our meagre goal however.
