Surfing Giant Durban with Matt Bromley
Durban, South Africa, recently experienced some of the most devastating floods in the city’s recent history. These floods resulted in the deaths of 435 people and left well over 40 000 individuals homeless. One of the primary concerns that come with widespread flooding of this nature is access to clean drinking water. Our sister company, Groundswell Aid, along with Aleph Surf sent a team of people to provide water filter systems and water filtration training to communities in Durban and its surrounds.

The crazy weather brought a crazy swell along for the ride and the city of Durban was greeted with huge chocolate-brown barrels. Matt Bromley hopped on a flight from Cape Town and arrived in Durban as the storm cleared to enjoy the spoils.
