Friday Morning Session
All good things must come to an end and Friday morning proved no exception as we wrapped up our International Gathering and celebrated the week that was.
After yet another amazing worship session, thanks to a multinational team, CS France National Director Audrey Harrison shared with us the amazing things that have been happening within our host nation, including the fact that for the first time ever CS France has officially formed a national movement!
We were able to share in more great news from Europe as Michelle Pitney from Surf Church Porto shared next on some of the great things happening in Portugal, before the kids took to the stage and gave us a beautiful medley of song, with a backdrop they had created through the week.
As a movement we really like to honor and recognize those who serve us. There was a massive amount of volunteer effort to make this gathering happen and we thank each and every one who contributed, including the Cap Ocean venue staff, who were incredible to deal with!
We also have awards for those who have served in a national or international capacity for 10 years, and this year we had our longest list yet, which was amazing to see!
For the first time ever we also introduced 25-year service awards and acknowledged 5 people with this phenomenal achievement - Brett & Gill Davis, Phil Williams, Roy Harley and Mike Scott have each given over 25 years of their life to serve the Lord through Christian Surfers. Incredible!!!
And with that, we closed we one final song of worship and began to say our goodbyes as we each return home filled up and ready to serve our local surfers and surf communities!
