Groundswell Aid Update

In April we launched a campaign to raise $11,000 to help the relief effort after the devastating Cyclone Idai decimated central Mozambique and parts of Zimbabwe and Malawi. We managed to raise the funds in under two weeks and our team member Rehgert van Zyl was able to join Waves For Water and Cross Connection Outreach installing water filters and delivering food and medicine packages. This month we welcome La Red as our newest project. La Red are closely connected to Christian Surfers El Salvador. Their motto is, “Love God, serve your neighbor.” At a local level they reach individuals, families and beach communities with the objective of helping them in their spiritual growth, assist them in their most urgent needs, educate them to advance in life, introduce them to a peace culture and facilitate community infrastructure for their development. We have also launched a new campaign to raise funds to provide Pater Surf School in Uruguay with much needed surfboards. Friends of Christian Surfers Uruguay, this non-profit surf school startup seeks to empower children and teenagers of limited resources. Donate now
