The CS Weekend Playlist | 03

Last year, my wife and I had the pleasure of travelling to France from Jeffreys Bay. We arrived at the quaint beach town of Hossegor as the Quikie pro was heading towards its conclusion. On one of the lay-days, we traversed the coastline in search of waves and ended up at La Piste. It was firing! Filthy sand dredging pits wedging off the bunkers. Aaron’s eyes basically rolled to the back of his head. He couldn’t believe his luck. He subsequently jumped into his wetsuit and bulldozed his way through the heavy closeouts to the backline. I’d never witnessed a usually cool, calm and collected Aaron so galvanised. He proceeded to fall into one absolute drainer of a pit on his twin fin and then paddled straight in to hang out on the beach with Shannon under the shade of an umbrella.
