Living Water by Jacob Galura
In complete honesty, I’m writing this devo last minute, I’ve been traveling the last week straight from Florida to Mexico for the Cold Water Campout and then to North Carolina less than 24 hours after landing back in Florida. I have so much to be thankful for, but most of all I just look at what God has done this year. It’s been one of the best years I’ve ever been apart of with Christian Surfers. We saw our staff grow, chapters thrive, mission teams go out, campouts gather the family and the first National Gathering in Florida in a very long time!
I am so blessed to be able to be apart of this family on mission and know and do life with so many amazing people. So in the last few days I’ve been challenged in my thankfulness by traffic, delayed flights and bad news from family. Through it all I try to shift my perspective, I’m thankful for the delayed flights because it means I was able to go to the campout, I’m trying to pray for the people involved in the accident that caused the traffic instead of complaining about sitting in traffic and I’m praise God for the time I have with my family because at the end of the day time is limited.
I hope every one of you had an amazing Thanksgiving surrounded with family and friends and I want to encourage all of you to reflect on what God has done in your life this year and challenge you to remain thankful even when you don’t feel like it.
Psalm 95:2
“Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!”
