Thoughts from the Exodus

Let my people go so they can worship me!

After 430 years of slavery, Yahweh empowered Moses to approach Pharaoh and ask that he let the Israelites free. What’s amazing is that every time Moses approached Pharaoh to enquire about the Israelites freedom - his reasoning was the same: ‘so that they (the Israelites) can worship me.’ Moses’ reasoning wasn’t around ethics of slavery/wrongdoing of Pharaoh etc but rather the most important reason for freedom was to worship God. So that they could glorify their Creator.

God sets us free from Egypt (our sinful lives) so that we can worship Him.
