Cross Paddle-Out

The cross paddle-out has become the strongest tradition of our gatherings worldwide.
After years of holding their national meetings over Easter, CS Australia came up with the concept as part of their dawn Easter Sunday service and many national movements have since followed suit. Our first international paddle-out was at the 2016 International Gathering in Australia.
The beaches of Hossegor are far too unpredictable to be able to host it in the ocean here, so we took to the famous Laç Hossegor.
The two stages of the cross are to first pray for the beaches of your own local community and secondly to pray for the beaches of the nation we are in, which of course this year was France.
It is always a powerful time and this year was made even more so by the drone footage going out on national French TV.
